Based at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), we specialize in advanced manufacturing technologies, including metal forming, additive manufacturing, computational mechanics, material characterization, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. We are eager to collaborate with national and international industries, sharing our cutting-edge research and driving innovation in the manufacturing sector.

  1. PhD Thesis Defense: "Fatigue Behaviour of S690 Structural Steel for Ocean Systems Applications" by Rita Gonçalves Reis Dantas, taking place on June 27th at 2:30 PM, in the Sala de Atos, Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP).

  2. We are organizing the thematic conference in 2027 in Porto on Eco-Efficient Smart Manufacturing of Metallic Materials (ECOSMART-MM), as part of the ECCOMAS community (May 2025).

  3. ​We are organizing a summer school at Porto University on the phase-field fatigue high-cycle model with the MOOSE framework, particularly focusing on the in-house software developed, Felino (May 2025). 

  4. The leadership of the Hi-rEV Agenda, Ana Rosenete Reis, stands out within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). She also holds four patents resulting from projects developed in close collaboration with the industrial sector (March 2025).​
